PSS Review: Moses Flees Egypt

Moses Flees Egypt

Scripture: Exodus 2:11-25

Target Age: 4-5 years

Focus: Man is a sinner and needs God

Lesson:

I had a sick little one this week and had to pass my teaching duties to The Dude. I sent him with a children’s Bible and a few activity suggestions. This lesson doesn’t cover very much, so they story might seem a little short.

Moses ran to a place called Midian and met a man named Jethro. He stayed with Jethro for many years and even married on of his daughters. Moses became a shepherd and helped with Jethro’s sheep.

Where is Jesus in this story?

Moses tried to help the Israelites on his own, but he failed. Only God could deliver His people. If we try to save ourselves from our sin and be friends with god on our own we will fail. Only God can deliver us from our sin through His son, Jesus.

Activities:

Moses to Midian Board Game –

Supplies: generic board game {mine is made out of a file folder}, dice, small game pieces

Give each child a game piece. They take turns rolling the dice and moving their piece. Whoever gets to Midian {the end} first. wins. On each turn they must answer a question about the story before they can move their piece.

Memory Verse: Romans 5:8 but God showed his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ dies for us.

Thanks for visiting, hope you come back soon!
